Getting hit by a car; that's a great example of a turning point in a life. It could completely change how a person looks their life in general. It is an opportunity for realization of needs to change and grow into a life of infinite knowledge and endless joy. Or you can decide that homework just doesn't seem so important when you could die at any moment.

There once was a man named bill who was quite ordinary in every way except bill had a bottomless bathtub. Now this might not seem like a
very awesome thing to have, but municipalities would come from far and wide to throw their garbage in bill's bathtub. There also was a
high demand from the mafia as a way to permenantly and discretly dispose of problematic people. As you might imagine, bill quickly became quite rich since he recieved mad money from the mafia and the goverment, but then the mafia realized they could own this bottomless bathtub by knocking bill off so they threw him in his own tub alive.
When a person is falling into a bottomless pit they usually starve to death, but bill was lucky because this was his bottomless pit and he knew his way around it. Knowing that someday someone might try to throw him in, bill had installed an escape hatch in the bathtub so that he might after falling for some short distance of fifteen feet or so he might grab onto it and thus escape into the sewer system. however as you might imagine, the escape hatch was quite slippery due to all the slimey garbage that had left goo on it so it slipped out of his hand as he grabed for it. Luckily bill had two hands so he tried again with the other hand and succeeded in pulling himself to safety. He escaped to the sewers where he lived happily ever after with two sewer rats named hal and dim.
