America preaches growth; personal and economic. We learn to want more, to never be content with what we have. We lack balance, stability, and happiness. In a world of limited resouces we can only grow so much until we collapse under our own weight. People die less and less of wasting away diseases but rather of cancers; diseases of excessive growth. We must relearn everything so the volitile powers that have made us amazing species do not also cause our downfall.
